Never In my wildest Dreams.

Shelby was born and raised in Tomball, Texas. The passion for building and carpentry started as a kid while helping his father build their custom home in Magnolia. As he watched the process of building, it became a fascination with how raw materials can create the beauty of the home we eventually resided in. Prior to starting Cadeau Carpentry, Shelby was a realtor, property investor doing fix and flips, and eventually started Redbeard Renovation. While running Redbeard Renovation, Shelby would tackle just about any project his clients requested. From bathroom remodels to porch additions and everything in between, he has tackled just about every trade.

Cadeau Carpentry was born from doing and trying. Shelby goes into any project with a problem solving and production efficiency mindset. As he has tackled thousands of projects over his 10+ years in the construction industry, they eventually led him to finding his greatest passion for woodworking, cabinet building, and furniture building. Never in his wildest dreams would he have thought that the path he’s chosen would have led him to custom carpentry.

So how did he come up with the name Cadeau (Pronounced “kay-dough”) Carpentry? Shelby’s father used to call him “Cado” as a child. As he looked more into the root of the word, he discovered that Cadeau in French means “gift”. Carpentry seems to be his greatest gift, and now he would like to share that gift with his clients and the world!
